Questions and troubleshooting
Changes, menu labels, computers, resets, iPad
- You want to unblock a site or remove LockedWeb
- Request it in your dashboard. Protection stays on during the 72-hour wait, and you can cancel the request at any time. After 72 hours, a one-time code completes the change. On a family device, that code goes to the parent who manages it.
- The menu labels don't match
- Check your iOS version in Settings › General › About. On some earlier versions, App Store, Media, Web & Games is called Content Restrictions.
- Do I need a computer?
- Only for LockedWeb Maximum, which sets up from a Windows PC or Mac with the cable.
- Will setup reset the phone?
- Standard and Screen Time keep everything as it is. Maximum may need a backup and reset, depending on your iOS version. Your dashboard shows the preparation steps before you begin.
- Setting up an iPad
- LockedWeb's iPhone and iPad setup covers both, and Screen Time works the same way on iPad.
- It is a work or school iPhone
- If an organization manages it, ask its administrator before you change restrictions.
