LockedWeb exists because of a pattern we kept seeing: people install a porn blocker with full conviction, and turn it off two weeks later in a moment they regret. The filter was never the hard part. Keeping it on was.
What we believe
You already know whether you want pornography on your devices, or in your kids' pockets. That decision doesn't need to be re-made every night. It needs to be protected from the ten bad minutes when it would be undone. So we build a blocker where tightening takes seconds and loosening takes 72 hours and a one-time code from a human, for everyone, including the person paying.
And we build it without surveillance. Most tools in this category watch people: reports, screenshots, activity feeds. We think a boundary shouldn't cost you your privacy, and a family shouldn't need to spy on itself to feel safe. LockedWeb blocks; it doesn't watch.

Jony Volk started his first company at 19 and spent the next sixteen years building it: a bootstrapped ecommerce business that sold nine figures of product, acquired several brands, and took on a private equity partner before he stepped down as CEO. He still serves on its board.
That chapter taught him how products get built and sold. This one is about what they are for. He is a husband, a father of two, and, alongside his wife, a campus pastor in the East Bay. Pastoring is where LockedWeb started: sitting with people, one after another, and hearing how common the struggle with pornography is, and how quietly it is carried. Studies put it at roughly 80% of men and 40% of women who have viewed porn. As a church community, the goal is to help people find freedom by cutting off the temptation at the source. It is the same question he brings to every venture now: does it create real impact and help people?
