Peacock parental controls: maturity ratings and profile PINs

On Peacock, review both the profile's maturity setting and whether someone can enter another profile. A child-oriented profile is not enough when a broader profile remains one click away.

Recommended setup

1. Edit the restricted profile. In a browser, go to the profile-selection screen and use the pencil beneath the profile you want to change.
2. Set the maturity limit. Choose Change beside Maturity Rating, confirm the account password, and select the appropriate level. Review the choices rather than assuming a Kids or Teen label matches your family's exact boundary.
3. Save the profile. When editing from a television, Peacock may send you to a mobile device using a QR code. ¹
4. Protect unrestricted profiles. Edit each profile with broader access, turn on Profile PIN, verify the account password, and create its four-digit code. ²

Good to know

These are separate settings: the maturity limit restricts the profile's available content, while a profile PIN controls entering that profile. A PIN on a restricted profile is not a substitute for protecting the unrestricted ones. ¹²

For adult self-protection, decide what happens when the account owner wants to change the limit. A password-controlled account setting should not be represented as an irreversible restriction.

Do not assume that creating another profile, using another account, or watching through a different access point has been covered by the steps above. Include those paths in your own check.

Check your setup

From the everyday profile, inspect a harmless title above its limit, try entering another profile, and try opening the profile editor. Repeat on your television and phone. Check whether a new profile can be created without the authorization you expect; address any gap at the device level before relying on the setup.
